About Carlyle
One of the great first stops west of Manitoba, whether it is a quick refuel, or lunch, or a stay overnight, Carlyle is "handy". Once in town, our always active Main St welcomes you!! Any time of year there is incredible shopping and seasonal decor on Main St and surrounding streets. We are an anomaly in that we are a small town of 1524 residents, but we have over 230 registered businesses, so whatever you're looking for (and even those thing you didn't know you were looking for) we probably have!! Stop in and have lunch at one of our restaurants, get your hair cut at the barber or one of the many salons, and while you're at the salon why not get a treatment? And you can not leave Carlyle without grabbing some buns!! Carlyle is famous for it's cinnamon buns, both from the Carlyle Bakery and Michael's Coffee Shop and Bakery. Carlyle has so many retail options and services, it just needs to be explored! Perhaps you'd just like to stretch your legs for a bit, well this is the town to do it in! Main St, leads to Centennial Park and the splashpark, and a little further down the road leads to the zero-entry pool and outdoor hot tub, campground, ball diamonds and walking trails. Our walking trails are gorgeous anytime of year!! They weave for 2 kms in and out of bushes, fields, campgrounds and Lions Park, the perfect place to catch a sunset and take some pictures! We also have an off-leash park for our furry friends, kitty-corner to the airport none the less!! Carlyle offers many recreational opportunities throughout the year, golfing, curling, swim lessons, public swimming, moto-x races, theatre performances, many options to choose from! Check out the townofcarlyle.com webpage for more details! And if you happen to come to Carlyle the last weekend in June, the third weekend in Sept or the first weekend in Dec then you are going to experience one of our trademark festivals... we have Carlyle Fun Dayz and Fair in June, Homespun Quilt and Craft Show and Sale in Sept and in December we have our most unique festival, the Dickens Village Festival which is now entering it's 21st year!
